Privacy Policy

the short version
Our apps are designed to be local-first. We do not run accounts for you, we do not sell data, and we run no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking. Most data created by our apps stays on your own device. Where an app communicates with an external service, it generally does so directly from your device to that service on your behalf — we don't sit in the middle and don't receive a copy.
information we do not collect
We do not operate servers that collect, store, or profile your personal information. We do not require sign-up, do not use third-party analytics SDKs, and do not place advertising trackers in our applications.
information that stays on your device
Our apps typically store data locally on your device, such as: your settings and preferences, app-specific data you create (e.g. lists, items, notes, history), locally cached data used to work offline, and — where an app signs into a third-party account on your behalf — the relevant credential or session token, stored in your operating system's secure credential store rather than in plain files. Where an app supports it, you can export or delete this data from within the app.
data sent to third parties (on your behalf)
To function, some Services communicate directly with third-party platforms and data sources you choose to use (for example public APIs, data providers, update servers, or messaging integrations). We do not receive this traffic, and each third party has its own privacy policy. The specific integrations differ per app — each app documents the third-party services it uses in its own materials. We only contact an optional integration if you explicitly enable it.
website pyth.co.za
Our website may use strictly necessary cookies/local storage required for the site to function, and standard server request logs (e.g. IP address, browser, timestamp) kept transiently for security and diagnostics by our hosting provider. We do not use the website to build advertising profiles. If we ever add optional analytics, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.
legal bases & your rights
Where data protection law applies to us (for example South Africa's POPIA, and the GDPR for users in the EU/UK), you have rights over your personal information, which may include access, correction, deletion, objection, and portability. Because our apps keep your data on your own device and we hold little to none ourselves, you can exercise most of these directly (export/delete in-app). For anything we do hold, contact us at berrnathan@gmail.com and we'll respond as required by law.
children
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
security
We design our apps to keep your data local and to store credentials in your OS's secure store. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take measures reasonable for software of this kind. To report a security issue, see our Security Policy.
changes
We may update this policy as our Services evolve. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page (and, where appropriate, noted in-app or on the website).
